D. Kay Church practices Family Law in the Middle Tennessee area, with the majority of her cases in Williamson, Davidson, Maury and Rutherford counties. While D. Kay Church focuses primarily on Family Law, she also handles many other areas of practice.

Divorce

A divorce is a legal process whereby a marriage is dissolved. It is often one of the most traumatic events a person can encounter in his or her life. Unlike other civil litigation that is frequently covered by insurance, divorce touches the things that are most precious to us and we all work our entire lives to acquire: our children, our homes, our retirement, and the like…

Child Custody

Kay understands more than anyone the priceless treasure that each child truly is. The emotional concern for their well-being can be overwhelming, especially in a child custody case. Compounded with the legal technicalities that govern, child custody cases can prove to be an intricate and confusing maze…

Adoption

Adoption is one of the most rewarding areas of practice for Kay Church. Clients often feel the final sense of “family” as well as the legal protections of the law for the step-children or adopted children…

Keeping client's best interest in mind

I want to truly thank you for your time, effort, and specific abilities that helped us gain custody my children. You are a fantastic attorney and I completely appreciate the opportunity to work with you. You have assisted us in changing the lives and future of two precious children. The strides that they have made in the last 5 months are incredible and some of that thanks goes to you.

Thank you also for so wisely drawing up the final order and requesting some of this expense be placed upon their other parent. We certainly didn't expect that, but appreciate it.

Excellent trustworthy attorney

I was worried about my rights as a father in Williamson county. Not only did Ms Church get me equal rights to my children in my divorce, she kept me informed all through the process. I highly recommend her.

Great Divorce Attorney

I hired Mrs. Church after dealing with two no-good attorneys. She not only took care of business but I also felt like she cared about her client. I was totally informed about my case from top to bottom. She's very professional and you will start to see results from day 1. After dealing with her through these trying times I felt like I had made a new friend and would recommend her and use her again.

Ms. Church has handled legal matters for me for a number of years, and I have referred her to a number of friends. We have found her to be smart, knowledgeable, detailed, on-top-of things, and always professional. I've seen her in court and in negotiations, and she always meets and/or exceeds my expectations. I've worked with other attorneys in the past who didn't get paperwork turned in on a timely basis, or who I felt I had to chase to get information from, but that has never been the case with Ms. Church. She is organized and a great communicator. I can't think of one negative thing to say about Ms. Church. All of my friends who have used her services have been complimentary, and we all intend to continue to use her services. She has a big heart and that helps to make her the great attorney that she is.

Referring a colleague and his client to Kay Church, 2018

Kay Church was there for me when I needed someone to fight for me. When I was younger I made some terrible choices that involved alcohol and although I had finally turned my life around I still faced some scary legal issues. Kay believed in me, trusted me, and fought for me. She was able to obtain a lesser verdict for me and as a result, I was able to put those mistakes behind me with little recourse. That was about 10 years ago but I am still extremely grateful for the help she provided me.

In my time of heartache, Kay was compassionate towards my situation and aggressive in pursuing what was best for me and my child. She consulted with me on every decision and handled every situation with confidence and poise. I felt very privileged to have her represent my case.
